I would be totally fine with the links section being AI generated. I don't think that would take away from it at all. Especially if that AI was trained on your content and reflected it.
Casey Newton has written thoughtfully about how he's effectively implemented it into his workflow to help with link rounding up and free up more time for reporting. If you come to the same conclusion, I say go for it.
